No description in databaseComment: S. saxatilis Sims is described on alleged Siberian material. Schischkin described S. ruprechtii in 1923 because he thought that S. saxatilis Sims, which is older than S. saxatilis MB, referred to a different taxon, as it is stated in the protologue that it is based on material from Siberia. Therefore, S. saxatilis MB non Sims has been treated as synonymous to S. ruprechtii Sims In eg Fl. USSR and Flora iranica. However, when looking at the illustration from the original description, I think matches the Caucasian/SW Asian taxaon pretty well https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/page/470939#page/242/mode/1up
